Product + UX/UI

A cross section of projects spanning healthcare, civic tech, and media. These examples reflect the breadth of product spaces I’ve worked in and the adaptable approach I bring to solving design challenges. From configuring voice assistants to simplifying data permissions, I focus on clarity, cohesion, and purposeful design.

EchoMed Builder

A visual tool for configuring versions of an automated phone system for specific hospitals. Builder allowed internal teams to tailor voice assistants to each customer without touching code, allowing them to set hours, greetings, call routing and more. The tool accelerated deployments, reduced configuration errors, and set the foundation for future self serve customizations.

Syllable Design System

Streamlining design and building processes is a must to meet the needs of a fast growing company, so when the company rebranded, I took the initiative to lead our team in creating a new design system that aligned with the new brand.

I defined the styles needed to reflect the brand, led the creation of a central repository of reusable components - designing over half of the new components myself, and oversaw the implementation of the library. This project increased design consistency, quality, and efficiency within and across job functions.

Airloom

Airloom is a Google Play app that weaves together music and news media together in a single stream. We wanted to make a consumption experience that didn't require the complete focus of the user. Rather, we were interested in one that played in the background while getting ready for the day, doing chores around the house, or while at the desk.

Socrata

I led the design of a clearer permissions model to help government users manage access to internal and public datasets— making it easier to share the right information with the right people. The solution addressed confusion surfaced in user research, offering a practical near term fix and laying the groundwork for a more unified approach to access controls.
